We've already seen shades of the paternal side of Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, as he mentored and grew to care about his team members as a coach on the debut season of 'The Voice.' That supportive side is spilling over into the singer's personal live, as he told CNN's Piers Morgan than he hopes to be a father only seven or eight years down the road.

"I want to start having kids, yeah," the singer, 32, said. "[But] not for seven or eight years!"

While Levine is enjoying the spoils of rock stardom and of pop culture madness as coach on 'The Voice,' he does foresee a child in his future and even seems to have a timeline mapped out in his head. He said, "I'd love to be maybe considering the idea of having a family. And at [42], I'd love to have maybe a 2-year-old." Sounds like Levine is considering his own age and having a child at just the right time.

While the singer does want children, he doesn't have a traditional view of the nuclear family and doesn't see marriage as the catalyst to becoming a proud papa.

"I don't think that you necessarily have to be married to have children … Marriage is a controversial thing, clearly," he reasoned. "I find that in a lot of ways, it doesn't work. Then in some ways, it does. I'm inspired by certain marriages. I'm uninspired by others." With 50 percent of all marriages ending in divorce, we're inclined to agree with Levin's perspective on the institution.

Levine's current paramour is Anne Vyalitsyna, who just so happens to show off her bodacious bod as a Victoria's Secret model. Perhaps all this baby talk will inspire her, too! If they ever did have a child together, that would be one genetically blessed kid the likes of which we have not seen since the Jolie-Pitt kiddies.
