Ariana Grande Covers Seventeen in Lots of Pink, Reveals ‘Victorious’ Set Drama
Ariana Grande is about to be the biggest thing in pop music. The teen has nabbed the August 2013 Seventeen cover, draped in lots and lots of airy and pastel colors.
Her brown hair falls in waves and she offers that cute smile and bats the lashes that frame her doe eyes. Adorbs!
In the feature, she reveals that she dealt with some on-set drama at 'Victorious,' the now-canceled, Victoria Justice-starring Nickelodeon series. "I worked with someone who told me they’d never like me," the 'The Way' singer admitted. "But for some reason, I just felt like I needed her approval. So I started changing myself to please her. It made me stop being social and friendly. I was so unhappy." Ugh! Who doesn't love Ariana Grande? Disliking her seems impossible.
She shared a little bit of detail about her upcoming album, which took three years of work because she's Type A, in the best possible way. "I’m a big perfectionist! I’m trying to channel super-confident women like Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey and Beyonce, because I realized that if you want something, you really have to go for it, just like they do," Grande said.
Amen, sister.
Grande also revealed that she is prefers to have brown hair, but doesn't mind dying it to play Cat on 'Sam & Cat,' her new Nick show. She confessed, "I would never feel comfortable playing Cat with any other color hair than red, but I also feel most comfortable being myself with brown hair. I’m really nothing like my character—we’re both girly, but that’s about it."
Grande admitted that she's "very quiet; I don’t like to go out and party" and that her hair changes allow her to morph a little. She stated, "So I get to be myself when I have brown hair and then I get to be Cat when I have red hair! It’s like a Hannah Montana life."
The singer also shared her feelings about her LDR -- that's long-distance relationship --- with Jai Brooks, saying, "Love is a really scary thing and you never know what’s going to happen. It’s one of the most beautiful things in life, but it’s one of the most terrifying. It’s worth the fear because you have more knowledge, experience, you learn from people, and you have memories."
Spoken like a girl with a good head and heart!
