After a grueling five weeks of nonstop voting and Twitter campaigning, the winner of PopCrush's 2015 Song of Summer has officially been crowned.

Congratulations to Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea for having the most fervent fanbases on the planet, because "Pretty Girls" was voted everybody's number one summertime bop.

After beating out earlier contenders Major Lazer and Flo Rida, it came down to a fierce competition between "Pretty Girls" and Kelly Clarkson's "Invincible." Britney's been in the music industry for well over 15 years and has an intense fanbase -- "Pretty Girls" seemed like a shoe-in to win based on dedication, alone. But Kelly's fans surprised us, with the "Heartbeat Song" singer pulling through with the lead and holding it for quite a while. In the end, "Invincible" lost to "Pretty Girls," as the song ultimately won with 52% of votes.

Really, though, this win comes down to the fans. It was a close race throughout the past few weeks, with Kelly fans, Britney fans and Iggy fans consistently egging each other on to vote. Our Twitter mentions have never been so wildly out of control, but that's all right -- that's dedication, and as stans for things ourselves, we get it. There's nothing like seeing your fave crowned a winner in a fan-voted contest. It's like the greatest, most palpable demonstration of power fans have, and we're all the better for it.

Listen to "Pretty Girls" below and revel in your win. You guys deserve it.
