Britney Spears Reveals That She’s Single Again

Britney Spears is back on the market.

The 32-year-old pop star surprised her fans on Thursday, Aug. 28, when she tweeted this short statement without context: "Ahhhh the single life!"

People later confirmed that Spears had broken up with boyfriend David Lucado.

"Yes, she's single," a rep told the site.

Perez Hilton writes that the breakup may have been a preemptive move on Britney's part after rumors have surfaced that a video is being shopped around that shows Lucado kissing another woman. The alleged video was supposedly shot in early August.

News of Spears dating Lucado first surfaced in March 2013.

Spears is currently keeping herself busy in Las Vegas where she continues her 'Piece of Me' residency at Planet Hollywood. She is scheduled to perform around 50 shows in both the year 2014 and 2015.
