Fans of the Jump Street franchise who are also fans of female-leads in blockbuster movies (which, let's be real, should be every single person on this planet) may pass out from excitement after reading this post. It looks like two more Jump Street movies may be in production shortly -- one a crossover with the Men In Black franchise and one a spin-off, with women in the lead roles. Sound good? The answer is yes.

According to TIME, the information comes from the 2014 Sony leak in which private company emails made their way onto the web courtesy of a few unknown hackers. And apparently two of the writers from Broad City, Lucia Aniello and Paul Downs, have signed up for the spin-off, which has us super stoked. If you've never seen an episode of Broad City, you are doing an immense disservice to yourself and to the world. We would like to encourage you to remedy that immediately, in order to fully embrace Ilana Wexler and Abbi Abrams (played by the riotous, brilliant Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson) into your hearts and souls and minds.

Does this mean Abbi and Ilana are set to star in a female version of 21 Jump Street? Well, not necessarily, no. But we would harvest our own organs and sell them on the black market if it meant getting them onboard as the two leads. Either way, we're excited to see Hollywood taking a chance on more female-driven comedies. Let's be real, it's about time.
