South Korean acts BTS and IU were among the big winners at the 2018 Golden Disc Awards.

The K-pop group and the 24-year-old singer took home Album of the Year and Song of the Year for Love Yourself: Her and "Through the Night," respectively.

"[It is] so lucky that the song came to me," IU said in her acceptance speech, according to The Korea Herald. "I am so grateful for the existence of the track."

The Golden Discs took place Wednesday and Thursday at the Korea International Exhibition Center outside Seoul The event recognized achievements in the music industry based on 2017 statistics from the Gaon chart.

"Now that we have achieved this great award, the records and accomplishments we achieved in 2017 suddenly feel real," BTS singer J-Hope said.

Actor and BTS singer V reunited with his Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youthco-star Park Hyung-sik at the ceremony. Park shared a backstage photo with the 22-year-old star on Instagram.

"I met the world's No. 1 handsome man. He is good looking in real life. I'm getting envious so I'm going to stop writing now," the actor joked in the caption.
