BTS ARMY is rallying together to defend one of the group's members, Suga.

According to reports, BTS fans exposed an NCTzen (i.e. fan of K-pop group NCT) for allegedly organizing a protest calling for Suga to be ousted from BTS.

Last month, protest trucks and funeral wreaths appeared outside of HYBE headquarters in Seoul with messages stating that the 31-year-old pop star should quit the group amid his DUI scooter scandal.

"7-1=6. ARMY will fill in the gap, so drunk driver SUGA OUT," one of the messages reportedly read, alluding that a disappointed fan organized the protest, according to allkpop.

Rumors that the protest organizer was actually an NCT fan arose when the individual's alleged email address was revealed while trying to raise funds for the protest.

The email address was reportedly linked to several NCT127 fan events.

Following the revelation, ARMYs took to social media demanding an apology from the NCT fandom.

Suga was cited by police for riding an electric scooter after drinking on Aug. 6, 2024.

The rapper, also known as Agust D, wrote a lengthy statement on BTS' official Weverse page following the incident.

"Hello, this is Suga. I come with a heavy and sorry heart to you guys [through Weverse] due to a disappointing event," a fan translation of Suga's statement reads.

It continues:

Last night after drinking at dinner, I went home by riding an electric scooter. I violated the road traffic laws due to me thinking easily that it’s [a] close distance and not recognizing that it is not allowed to ride an electric scooter after drinking.

While parking my electric scooter at the front gate in front of my place, I fell by myself, and there was a police officer nearby and as a result of drinking, my license has been revoked and I've been fined.

There wasn’t anyone who got hurt or facilities that have been damaged but, this is an inexcusable responsibility of mine so I bow my head and apologize to everyone.

I apologize to those who have gotten hurt because of my carelessness and wrong action and from now on and forward, I will be more and more careful with my actions so nothing like this will happen.
