A month after legendary radio host Casey Kasem passed away on June 15, his body still remains unburied, according to a publicist for Kasem's daughter.

The Huffington Post reports that a lawyer for one of Kasem's daughters, Kerri Kasem, claims that Casey's remains are still at a funeral home in Tacoma, Wash. The lawyer says that Kerri and her brother and sister from Kasem's first marriage hope to honor his wishes of being buried at Forest Lawn cemetery in Glendale, Calif.

Casey's second wife, Jean Kasem, currently has rights to the body but reportedly has not made any burial arrangements yet.

The rights over Casey's body is the latest in a battle between Casey's children from his first marriage and Jean Kasem. During the last several months of his life, the children -- Kerri, Julie, Mike -- claimed that Jean had been preventing them from seeing their father. Casey had been suffering from advanced Parkinson’s disease and dementia.

Casey Kasem hosted the American Top 40 show beginning in 1970 and did his weekly countdown until 2004. He continued to broadcast shows until 2009, when he retired from radio. He was 82 years old when he passed away last month.
