For some people, getting a tattoo is a really personal thing. There are a million different decisions to make — placement, size, color vs. black-and-white, the actual tattoo artist — the experience is usually painful and, above all else, it's permanent. Now imagine throwing another person into the mix, and things can get complicated pretty quickly. But plenty of people take the plunge anyway, and many of them happen to be famous.

We decided to put together a list of celebrities who have matching tattoos, from the intentional bro-bonding ink of Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles — nothing says "forever" like a cartoon penguin — to the super sweet ring-finger tattoos sported by Beyoncé and Jay Z to the matching tattoos Lady Gaga and Brian Newman got as an homage to Tony Bennett.

There's also the matching Sanskrit tattoos Katy Perry and Russell Brand got when they were still an item, though Russell has reportedly removed his via laser (no regrets, just love, right?), as well as the screw tattoos existing on the bodies of all of One Direction — minus Niall.
