As the Olympics come to an end, people have been anxiously waiting for the closing ceremony, where the Spice Girls are set to perform (along with rumored Elton John).  One Direction have also been tapped to perform at the closing ceremony as well, and some details about their super secret performance have leaked.

The Mirror notes that 1D will perform their mega-hit 'What Makes You Beautiful' and have been allotted a 5-minute slot time for the stage. The boys have allegedly been practicing up to eight hours a day to prepare for their performance, which will take place on a flat bed truck that will circle Stratford's Olympic Stadium.

“It’s all hush-hush and the boys have been sworn to secrecy," said a source. “But they’ve been at rehearsals and can’t wait to do their bit. It will be an unforgettable occasion and they feel privileged to be a part of it.”

While we're sure the guys are excited to perform at the historic event, Niall Horan previously tweeted his excitement over the games. "on the phone to @JohnJoeNevin for the last hour!," he wrote. "He's a sound lad! We grew up 100 yards away from eachother, now he's goin for an olympic medal."

1D will hit the stage along with the aforementioned Spice Girls, as well as with Madness, the Pet Shop Boys, George Michael and the Who are also set to perform at the closing ceremony. We can't wait!
