Dick Van Dyke has no plans to retire! 

The beloved actor joked that he is "looking for work" after he won an Emmy for his 2023 birthday special, Dick Van Dyke: 98 Years of Magic

The Mary Poppins star was overwhelmed by the applause he received while accepting his award.

"Thank you! That reception, I cannot tell you what it means," he told the audience.

"I invited everyone to my memorial. I don’t have a date yet but I’m not feeling too well," he said in jest during his acceptance speech.

After accepting the award, the 98-year-old told reporters how he wants to be remembered.

"For laughter. I hope for making people laugh for 75 years," Van Dyke said.

"I've been in the business 75 years. I can't believe that I'm still here and performing. I'm looking for work if anybody has," he joked.

The screen icon also gave some sound advice to young performers.

"You have to stick with it. You're gonna go through hard times and a lot of auditions ... but you have to stay with it," Van Dyke said.

"Be patient if you've got the confidence in yourself, and it's very important to believe that you can do it," he stated.

Van Dyke has had a long career spent starring in some of the most iconic projects, including: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Bye Bye Birdie, and the TV series The Dick Van Dyke Show.
