Country legend Dolly Parton has some concerns about Miley Cyrus' outlandish behavior. Dolly became Miley's godmother in 1992 after befriending Miley's dad, fellow country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.

According to an interview with London's The Sun, Dolly has been keeping an eye on Miley and is hoping that her on stage wild behavior doesn't translate into her real life. “I hoping that she holds it in the road and doesn't do so many things that are that bizarre,” she admits.

Dolly attributes Miley's changed persona to an intrinsic need to escape her Disney path. She confesses, “One day, [Miley] had enough and told me: ‘I need to murder Hannah Montana in order for people to accept who I really am.'"

“I think she felt she had to make that severe a change. And she obviously did,” Dolly says. The 68-year-old singer, however, thinks Miley will be fine. “It’s kind of frightening. I know every generation has their own thing. But, of course, I'm an old timer — I don't want them to get so far gone that it’s all about sex and violence.”

Miley Cyrus is currently recovering in a hospital after experiencing a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic while on tour. She will resume her Bangerz Tour in May in Amsterdam.
