Dolly Parton is forging ahead in her quest to help those affected by the Smoky Mountains Wildfires by holding a live telethon tonight (December 13) to raise money for her My People Fund, and she's urging others to donate to the cause.

The telethon, titled Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountains Rise: A Benefit for the My People Fund, will feature performances from major country artists like Kenny Rogers, Hank Williams Jr., Cyndi Lauper, Alison Krauss, Alabama, Don McLean, Ronnie Dunn, Chris Stapleton, Chris Young and many more and is set to air at 8PM EST.

Parton has already pledged to donate $1,000 monthly for six months through the recently established My People Fund to families who lost their homes to the wildfires.

Parton released a statement about the telethon, saying via Knoxville News, “Every day I’m touched even more by the number of people who are joining us to help raise money for the people of the Smoky Mountains. It is a special place and I’m honored that these people care so much about what we’re doing through the My People Fund to help those who have lost everything due to the wildfires.”

Viewers can donate by calling 1-866-CARE MORE during the telethon, which will air from 8PM EST to 11PM EST.
