Heejun Han stopped by 'Live! with Kelly' on Monday to make his first live performance after being eliminated from 'American Idol' last week.

The Season 11 hopeful performed Leon Russell's 'A Song for You,' which he last sang on the elimination episode of the hit FOX competition series. Of course, he blew the audience away with his soulful take on the 1970 classic.

Following the performance, Han took some time to discuss how he and his family immigrated to the United States. They left Korea with two suitcases and the determination to "make it." "I just got my green card a year ago, and imagine your life without a green card," he said. "And now I'm standing here singing in front of all of you guys and you millions of people, so I'm really happy."

He also threw Kelly Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos off a little when he repeatedly joked about Jennifer Lopez being his wife, but that's why America finds the 22-year-old so lovable.

'A Song for You' will undoubtedly become Han's signature tune, as he recently performed it on 'Access Hollywood,' as well. Fans may even find it incorporated into the set when the Korean singer embarks on the 46-plus city American Idols LIVE! 2012 tour with his 'AI' cohorts.

Han will be joined by Colton Dixon, DeAndre Brackensick, Elise Testone, Erika Van Pelt, Hollie Cavanagh, Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Skylar Laine on the summer run.
