Janet Jackson's remembrance of her late father, Joe Jackson, is the sweetest thing.

On Tuesday night (July 3), the "All for You" icon honored the Jackson family patriarch on social media with a touching throwback of an adorable father-daughter close-up. Captioned only with a purple heart, the snap marks the first and only time the 52-year-old has publicly memorialized the American music manager since his untimely death last week.

On Wednesday, June 27, the music industry professional's family informed TMZ that Joe, who was battling terminal pancreatic cancer since June, died in Los Angeles. He was 89.

In the moments that ensued after the news of his departure went public, Joe's loved ones took to Twitter to mourn his loss. "I will always love you! You gave us strength, you made us one of the most famous families in the world," tweeted Joe's daughter, singer La Toya Jackson. "RIP to the king that made everything possible!!!" wrote grandson Randy Jackson, "I love you grandpa."

Paris Jackson — the only daughter of the late blazoned King of Pop, Michael Jackson — detailed her final moments with her grandfather in an emotional Instagram post.

"Spending those last few moments with you were everything," the 20-year-old started. "Being able to tell you everything i needed to tell you before saying goodbye was such a blessing. everyone that came to visit you, came with love, respect, and so much pride in their hearts for you."

On Monday (July 2), Janet was reportedly in attendance for her father's private memorial and burial at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California — the same burial ground where Michael was laid to rest following his death in June 2009.
