Jelly Roll and His Wife Are Trying to Have a Baby
Jelly Roll and wife Bunnie Xo are trying to have a baby. The country couple have started IVF treatments but are also exploring all options.
- Bunnie Xo (real name: Alisa DeFord) does not have kids but she helps raise Jelly Roll's (Jason DeFord) teenager daughter Bailee and is actively involved with his son Noah.
- Both of Jelly Roll's kids have different mothers.
- Bunnie says they never wanted kids until recently.
News that Jelly and Bunnie were trying came via the Bussin' With the Boys podcast, where he was a recent guest. The "Halfway To Hell" singer admitted that part of his motivation for wanting to lose weight was because they wanted to add to their family, which meant he had to live to at least 60 to see him or her into college.
In sharing a clip of that interview, Bunnie added more details.
"We had planned on doing this privately but decided our IVF journey needed to be shared because we’ve always been so open," she says. "And with all odds stacked against us, it’s already been hard [and] we have only just begun."
The process has been scary and exciting she says. If you thought you once heard Jelly Roll say he was done having kids, your'e right.
"We genuinely never thought we’d want to add to our family," Bunnie Xo admits, "but something changed this year [and] we both just want a piece of us together to add to our already perfect family with Bailee [and] Noah."
News that Jelly Roll and his wife are trying for a baby comes during a transformative year for the singer. His weight loss journey came after he fixed his teeth and started to focus on how he looks and feels with real intention.
Talking to Taste of Country Nights, he said he didn't have a number of pounds in mind to lose, but just wanted to look and feel good. The larger goal is to break his toxic relationship with food and so many other things in his life.
