Kelly Clarkson has added another pooch to her brood. The pop star posed for a snapshot with her brand-new pup on the set of her upcoming album's photo shoot.

“Me and my new puppy Joplin on the set of my photo shoot for my new album. He’s adorable!” Kelly wrote on her Facebook page.

The 29-year-old singer also posted another photo from the set, sans Joplin.  “Peter, me, Harper, Ashley, and Stephanie at my photo shoot," she wrote. "An awesome team and a great shoot!”

Last year, Clarkson released 'Don't You Wanna Stay' with country star Jason Aldean. The song appeared on Aldean's 'My Kinda Party' album. The duo performed the single at the 2010 CMA Awards and again on April 14 on an elimination episode of 'American Idol.'

Clarkson wrapped recording of her new album in February, and is expected to announce a release date to the follow-up to 2009's 'All I Ever Wanted' in July. Earlier this year, she explained some of the inspirations behind the songs.

"This album was influenced by Prince, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, Radiohead and there's a little bit of a Country vibe/influence on a couple of songs," she wrote.
