Keri Hilson Refuses to Partake in a ‘Red Carpet Hollywood’ Romance
Keri Hilson's latest album is called 'No Boys Allowed,' but she's just fine with having men in her life - as long as they're not rappers or athletes. The R&B singer-songwriter tells EURweb she has a list of different types of guys she's not interested in.
"I put a lot in that category – rappers, sports players, ball players and things like that," Hilson says. "I would never say never, but I want something real. I want real love. I don’t want this red carpet Hollywood love. I feel like they’re easily penetrated, and that’s something that I don’t want. I don’t want publicity. I want love.”
She continues, "I ain’t no dummy. I know that it can work, and I know there is true love in those situations. But the way that some of them have approached me makes me feel like I would just be a publicity stunt, I guess. It’s like a ‘look’ for us to be together, as opposed to ‘Oh, let’s get to know each other and see if it works.’ They just want to move fast and want the world to know and be talked about. That's not something that appeals to me."
Guys, if you're feeling slighted, perhaps you can take comfort in knowing that Hilson is fond of verbally assaulting all sorts of people. She recently dissed Kesha and Beyonce as well.
Hilson's 'No Boys Allowed' featured the Top 10 R&B hit 'Pretty Girl Rock' and the Chris Brown collaboration 'One Night Stand.'
