Kyle Richards' doctor refused to give her a tummy tuck.

The 54-year-old reality star has always been keen on keeping fit and decided she wanted to have cosmetic work done on her stomach after having a breast reduction but her doctor wouldn't go through with the idea and she eventually just stuck to traditional exercise.

She told this week's edition of Us Weekly: " I've always worked out, but I was doing the same thing on repeat ... I'd go on hikes and spin. I started including weights and running [and] hot yoga.

"I wanted to get a tummy tuck when I had my breast reduction, and the doctor wouldn't do it; he said we'll talk about it [later]. I started doing a Peloton 10-minute abs thing, then 15 minutes every day."

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star admitted she has always struggled with body image but has only now stopped constantly "trying to be thin" and has now decided to just make the "commitment" to working out daily so she can focus on her overall health.

She said: "As someone who [had] body image issues their whole life, it's kind of funny that I'd be on the cover of this issue. Growing up with my sisters, they were both blond and skinny, which [was] very much the look. I was brunette and curvy, and I was always trying to be thin. I started working out when I was 15, but I've learned to switch things up and what my body needs. I make the commitment every day. If I have to take a 5AM flight, fine, I have to skip my workout at my house, but I can always do abs in my hotel room."
