In not-so-shocking news, Lady Gaga appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' on Thursday and finally confirmed that 'You and I' will be the next single from her latest album, 'Born This Way.'

The pop star was scheduled to perform for the talk show host's audience, and when Kimmel asked her what her song selection would be, she said, "I'm going to sing my brand-new single 'You and I.'"

The statement isn't much of a surprise for the singer's little monsters, as Gaga performed the track on 'So You Think You Can Dance' on Thursday, along with her latest single, 'The Edge of Glory.' She appeared as a judge on the show the night before.

Gaga has already shot the video for 'You and I' in Nebraska, where her love interest in the song is from. She recently appeared on Omaha radio station 94.1 to gush about the Midwestern state.

“I’ve got to tell you, I don’t think there’s anything hotter than being in a cornfield in Nebraska,” the singer said. “It was so sweet, and I looked out and it’s so beautiful, that tall corn … Then all of a sudden you start to see these monsters pop up. I love this place so much, and it really comes from a genuine place.”

She also confirmed that the song is about her "buddy and my best friend," Luc Carl, who is originally from Nebraska. Carl is also credited as Gaga's boyfriend.
