Madonna Compliments Taylor Swift, Taylor Has No Chill About It

Just like the rest of the world, Madonna is now obsessed with Taylor Swift. Alright, the word 'obsessed' may be a little overwrought and hyperbolic, but Madonna appreciates Taylor's songwriting prowess at the very least. In an interview with Richard Wilkins of Australia's 'Today Show' she said (quote via PEOPLE), "It's good to have some princesses [of pop]. It means there's a lot of pretty dresses around. I like Taylor Swift. I think she writes some really catchy pop songs. I can't get them out of my head."

There's nothing like being paid an unprompted compliment by an actual living legend, so when Taylor rushed to Tumblr to geek out about the comment, we were not surprised. She wrote, "Thanks now I'm dead." She then went on to tag the actual post insanely dramatically, writing, "#HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH THIS. #BE COOL TAYLOR STOP BEING EMBARRASSING." But, like, if Taylor weren't at least a little embarrassing she would not be the Taylor we've all come to love and appreciate. We feel you, girl.
