Man Destroys Own Phone so Wife Can’t See What He’s Hiding in His Search History

A 22-year-old woman on Reddit was shocked by the violent way her 27-year-old husband reacted after she teased him about his phone's questionable search history.

"I have been married to my husband for a little over a year now. The relationship has had its ups and downs but overall pretty good. My husband normally lets me go on his phone with no issue," the woman began.

Recently, while "looking at his search history," she opened a tab revealing NSFW videos on his phone.

"I thought it was funny and started teasing him," she recalled.

While teasing him about the unsavory videos, he gave her the "scariest look" and then "snatched his phone and smashed it until it broke."

"He screamed at me calling me names and is sleeping on the couch refusing to talk to me. Obviously I know he's hiding more and I'm piecing together all the red flags and this is just the cherry on top," the woman continued.

She added that she is in "shock" and doesn't know what to do as she is "pretty financially reliant on him."

Users in the comments section urged the woman to consider leaving her husband.

"Seriously, you’ve only been married a year and you’re only 22. Don’t waste any more time and get out now. I wouldn't even bother to learn more about what the hell is going on with him," one person wrote.

"Divorce him, it hasn't been that long and he is already showing violent behavior. I guarantee this will be his response from now on to any fight you two have if you don't divorce because you are showing him no consequences for his behavior," another commented.
