Niall Horan, livin' the dream. And we don't just mean as a renowned superstar and one-fourth (tear) of the biggest band on the planet. He'll also be caddying for top-ranked golfer Rory McIlroy at the 2015 Masters Tournament on Wednesday, April 8.

While we know that Niall will carry the golfer's clubs and offer him moral support, we're secretly hoping that the One Direction singer will don some stereotypical caddy attire like that little hat with the pom-pom on it and a cable-knit sweater vest — even though the BBC reports that Niall will instead be wearing the traditional all-white, Par 3 caddy uniform. Hmph.

The Washington Post reports that Rory McIlroy, 25, asked Niall, 21, to be his caddy after the boy bander told him he'd be attending the Masters. The official Masters website notes that the two have been friends for a long time and were drawn together because of their Irish background and Niall's love for the sport.

"He's excited to be here and [I'm] looking forward to spending a bit of time with him out there," the pro golfer said of having Niall as his caddy.

It looks like it will be a pretty awesome day for Niall, who has undoubtedly experienced some pretty crazy amounts of pressure and stress since Zayn Malik quit the band. It'll be good for him to get in on some of that sports action he loves so much!

Rory McIlroy will be facing off against Tiger Woods in the tournament.
