On the day of his birthday, Sept. 16, Nick Jonas celebrated turning 22 by giving fans a look at the music video for his new single 'Jealous.' 'Jealous' is the latest single off his forthcoming self-titled album, due in stores on Nov. 11.

MTV premiered the video which appropriately begins with Jonas on a motorcycle with a sign that says "Leaving Childhood" on the highway behind him. The very stylized video, which has a retro feel to it, takes place in various New York City locations as Jonas expresses his jealous feelings watching other guys flirt with his girlfriend, Olivia Culpo.

Hidden throughout the video are words and inspirational phrases, such as "gratitude" and "the time is now." Jonas has stated that the purpose of 'Jealous' was to encourage men to be open about their feelings. While speaking on the 'Today Show,' Jonas said, "I think what’s great about this song...is that it opens up the conversation that men are afraid to have. Jealousy happens and it’s OK.”

The video was directed by Peter Tunney and incorporates some of his own artwork into the settings.
