One Direction Win Best New Artist for ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ at 2012 MTV Video Music Awards

One Direction won more than our hearts and Best Pop Video at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. They also won Best New Artist!

Kesha, who looked incredible in a short, nude and black dress, and Wiz Khalifa presented the trophy to the adorable U.K. 'X Factor' alumni, but not before offering congratulations to Wiz and his fiancee, Amber Rose, on their bun in her oven. "I hear you'll be having a new addition to your life soon?" Kesha grinned. "Congratulations on what's going to be the hottest and probably the coolest baby ever!"

Though 1D faced stiff competition from the Wanted, Fun., Frank Ocean and Carly Rae Jepsen, we think they more than earned this! (Then again, we're a little biased because we're sort of in love with them.)

Zayn Malik looked as overwhelmed as we do when the boys flip their hair. "So I guess we'd just like to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you here tonight," he began breathlessly, "and all our fans, friends and family." Malik didn't forget that One Direction can't put on killer performances by themselves, offering a heartfelt thank you to his "amazing crew." Aww!

Harry Styles was equally flustered and insanely charming. "To win one Moon Man is amazing," he said. "To win two is incredible, to perform is ridiculous. Thank you so much!"
