One Direction, Pharrell, Lorde + More Cover ‘God Only Knows’ for BBC Music [VIDEO]

One Direction, Pharrell, Lorde, Sam Smith and 23 other top international artists helped BBC in the UK launch BBC Music by covering the Beach Boys' classic hit 'God Only Knows.'

Other artists that appear in the BBC Music promo include Chris Martin, Florence Welch, Kylie Minogue, Emeli Sande, Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Chrissie Hynde.

According to a press release (via NME), BBC Music is described as "an ambitious wave of new programmes, innovative partnerships and ground-breaking music initiatives that amount to the BBC's strongest commitment to music in 30 years."

Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys commented, "I just feel so incredibly humbled that the BBC would choose 'God Only Knows' to promote their new music initiative. All of the artists did such a beautiful job I can't thank them enough. I'm just honoured that 'God Only Knows' was chosen. 'God Only Knows' is a very special song. An extremely spiritual song and one of the best I've ever written."
