Pete Davidson Jokes About Going to Rehab, Quitting Social Media
Pete Davidson is living it up in Park City, Utah — the city that hosts the Sundance Film Festival and also the Cirque Lodge treatment center, where the young comedian checked in to rehab around four years ago,
“I love Park City, Utah, because the last time I was here, I was in rehab,” Davidson joked to Variety during an interview with him and his Big Time Adolescence co-stars ahead of the film's Tuesday (January 29) premiere.
“It’s nice to be on the other side of it. And, also it speaks wonders to your rehab facilities,” he said, lifting up a beer and taking a swig.
Later in the interview, the Saturday Night Live star also took a jab at his recent suicidal message and subsequent Instagram deletion that had friends, fans, and family worried about his well-being.
“Yeah, I can’t go on that for obvious reasons,” Davidson said when asked if he was done with social media forever. As for his message to kids who are getting online bullied?
“Just don’t go online,” he simply said. "I don't think online is good."
