Selena Gomez is getting more candid than ever, giving fans even more insight into her emotional performance of 'The Heart Wants What It Wants' at the 2014 AMAs in a new video diary.

Of course, Selenators will recall Selena's first-ever live performance of her moving new single -- especially with all of the raw emotion that she poured into the number.

"This performance is a little bit frightening but I'm very excited," Selena reveals in the video diary, which you can check out above. "When I had the intention behind the performance I knew that I wanted it to be all of me, because somebody asked me a while ago, 'What's the one thing you wished people knew about you?' And I said I wanted it to be my heart."

While it may have been scary and difficult to wear her heart on her sleeve like that -- after all, the track is about the hardships in her relationship with Justin Bieber -- Selena owned it like no other, letting her emotions flow and visibly getting choked up during the performance. But by opening herself up to the world, she's showing fans a whole other dimension of herself -- and it's certainly paid off. Just watch her get enveloped by her team's praise after the performance! We love it.
