Shakira Denies Breakup Rumors

Guys, don't celebrate just yet. Shakira is denying rumors that she and her boyfriend, FC Barcelona star Gerard Pique, have split.

According to the rumor mill, the footballer cheated on the Colombian singer with a younger woman while his pop star girlfriend was out of town. However, Fox Latino reports that Rodrigo Beltrán, Shakira’s press manager in Colombia, is refuting the breakup claims. “They are still together and are very well," he tells EFE, adding that the rumors are "completely false."

Shakira is also doing damage control. On Tuesday, she sent Pique a love note via Twitter, writing, "Good luck to the Spanish national side and to my number 3, muah @3gerardpique. Shak."

The 'Rabiosa' singer, 34, and her sporty man, 24, have been dating for six months, and haven't been afraid of showing their affection in public Spanish gossip sites have labeled the pair as "the most obnoxious couple in football" for their excessive PDA.

Prior to Pique, Shakira was in an 11-year relationship with Antonio de la Rua, the son of former Argentine President Fernando de la Rua. The two split in January, and the the singer made an official announcement about the breakup on her website.
