Shakira Launches ‘Rabiosa’ Remix Contest

Shakira is imploring her fans to get into the groove by entering her 'Rabiosa' remix contest in which one lucky winner could have his or her version promoted across all of the Colombian stars' websites.

Fans have access to the English and Spanish stems to the singer's latest single, which they are encouraged to reconfigure using their utmost creativity. After uploading the remix to Shakira's contest site, users are urged to share their creations on Facebook, as the winners and runners-up will be determined by the 10 remixers with the most "likes" for their song.

In addition to the global recognition, the grand prize winner will also score a Sony Full HD Memory Card Camcorder, an autographed 'Sale El Sol' CD and a free premium SoundCloud account. Four runner-ups will be selected from the top 10 remixes, and will win an autographed copy of Shakira's latest album and a free premium SoundCloud account. The deadline for submissions is July 13.

The 34-year-old singer released her Pitbull-assisted single in April and unveiled a sexy video for the song in May. 'Rabiosa' is the third release from Shakira's latest bilingual album, 'Sale el Sol,' and the track was remixed by C Berg as a B-side for the German single.
