Simon Cowell Praises New One Direction Album, Says It’s ‘Fantastic’

The boys of One Direction are making their boss proud!

While speaking with UK's Capital FM, Simon Cowell told the radio station that he's proud of One Direction's forthcoming album, which is expected to be released by the end of the year.

"The album's fantastic," Cowell said. "There's probably five or six tracks I've already heard that could be singles.

"There's some very different kinds of songs than what we've done before, they've taken a few more risks," he continued. "Most importantly, the boys love writing, they love recording."

Cowell, who created 'The X Factor,' signed One Direction to his record label after they appeared in Season 7 of the British singing competition show.

Meanwhile, One Direction are in the middle of their Where We Are Tour in North America until Oct. 5. They will then head back on the road in February 2015 for the On the Road Again Tour with dates in Australia, Asia, South Africa and the Middle East.
