Taylor Swift Turns ‘IDWLF’ Into Soothing Acoustic Set for Super Bowl Show
In the name of Super Bowl 51, Taylor Swift has just taken the sexy "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" — her duet with Zayn Malik from the 50 Shades Darker soundtrack — and turned it into an acoustic, soothing lullaby.
Swift, who will headline the DIRECTV Super Saturday Night on Saturday, February 4, shared a video of her set rehearsal to YouTube last night (February 2) and proved she's ready to shake things up. Armed only with a black guitar, she softly croons through the track in the clip above to the delight of her fans.
"Taylor Swift + Guitar = perfection. Impatiently waiting for the Super Bowl performance!" one commenter wrote, while another noted "I need a solo version asap Taylor. If TS6 doesn't have a solo version I will be sad."
AT&T first announced Swift would perform Super Saturday Night in October 2016. The gig is part of a massive, overall 10-year deal Swift's inked with the company that will include exclusive performances and content. AT&T even constructed a new 64,000 square foot venue just for the forthcoming event.
“We’re thrilled to reach a deal to bring Taylor and her unique talents to her fans and our customers in new and exclusive ways,” AT&T Entertainment Group CEO John Stankey said. “We’re excited to get event tickets into the hands of Taylor’s fans.”
