Ladies in New York, are you ready? The Wanted will cruise into Terminal 5 at JFK Airport in New York on Aug. 22 for an intimate performance, courtesy of airline JetBlue. The boys will kick off a week of high-profile TV performances with their 'Live From T5' gig, set for 6PM ET. JetBlue has hosted performances in the terminal in the past, but this certainly is a big "get" for the airline.

The Wanted will play Central Park on Aug. 24 as part of the 'Good Morning America' Summer Concert Series, as well. They also have a CBS performance scheduled as part of Arthur Ashe Kids Day at the U.S. Tennis Open on Saturday, Aug. 25. Can you say "The Wanted are taking over NYC at the end of the month?" It's a British invasion! Make sure to set a reminder in your smartphone for the 'GMA' gig.

But neither of those perfs is as exciting as rocking out an airport. It's unconventional, to say the least.

The "show" is held post-security and ticketed customers and contest winners will get to enjoy the gig.

You know, we're fine with our airlines offering amenities like free pretzels and soft drinks or first class upgrades for frequent flying. So thumbs up to JetBlue for enhancing the travel experience by providing pre-flight entertainment. Who needs in-flight movies when you can enjoy some live renditions of 'Chasing the Sun' or 'Glad You Came.'
