Ed Sheeran, meet Avengers: Age of Ultron! Jeremy Renner took things down a notch when he covered the Brit's massive hit, "Thinking Out Loud" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon — with a Hawkeye twist.

The actor sat down at a grand piano (adorned with rose petals and a martini glass, no less) and sang about his character's abilities, cracking us up and completely charming us.

"When you're on a team with the Hulk and Thor / And we're all up there on the movie screen / Will people believe that I'm not quite as tough / Will anyone even notice me?" he began. "But listen, I've got powers too and they're pretty sweet / Promise I can do so much more than archery."

Our favorite part might be when Jeremy admits, "Yes, I know about Captain America's strength / And the Hulk becomes a towering man / But I got seventh place in my Fantasy league / And I once butt-dialed Jean-Claude Van Damme."

While Jeremy is no Ed Sheeran (the ginger-haired Brit is in a league of his own when it comes to singing chops), we love this cover. Not only are the lyrics Ed-level clever, but Jeremy's voice is pretty impressive. Now if only he could perform an American Hustle-inspired version of Ed's "Don't."

We aren't surprised that Jeremy slayed his performance. He's an accomplished musician and previously belted out "New York State of Mind" on The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon. In other words, he's a total pro and should probably perform a cover like this every week.

You can catch Avengers: Age of Ultron when it hits theaters on May 1.

Update: Ed has responded to the cover on Twitter, and he clearly feels what the Avenger character is going through.
