Zayn to Release Picture-Heavy Book Later This Year
Zayn Malik is set to release his first book as a solo act, cleverly titled Zayn, later this fall. And while publisher Penguin Random House is categorizing the book as an autobiography, don’t expect to get any juicy details from Zayn's time spent with his former group, One Direction.
More akin to Kim Kardashian’s Selfish than Patti Smith’s Just Kids, Zayn will feature mostly photographs of the “Pillowtalk” singer, which at least indicates a hyper self-awareness on his part. Give the people what they want, right?
"In Zayn, the only official book, Zayn will share a photographic journey of his life," Penguin Random House wrote in a statement via Refinery29. "He opens up with a collection of thoughts, inspirations, personal stories, notes and drawings, and never-before-seen personal photographs."
Intent on maintaining his authenticity (such a prevailing buzzword in pop culture these days!!) Zayn reportedly writes within the first few pages of his heavily curated book, "I'm going to show you as much as I can so that you can judge me on my own terms, not on what the press or anyone else says."
The picture-heavy Zayn is set for a November 1 release, but for those of you who feel a need to be proactive about these things, feel free to pre-order the book on Amazon now.
