Zayn Malik's name has been on everyone's lips recently — and while the news that he has left One Direction is (sadly) completely true, the newest rumor about the star, which states that he has been banned from touring with Little Mix, is totally false.

According to PEOPLE, a British tabloid reported that Zayn would not be allowed near fiancee Perrie Edwards and her fellow Little Mix members while they tour. The rumor in question alleged that both Syco and Columbia Records were prohibiting the former One Direction singer from traveling with Perrie — but a rep for Simon Cowell's label, Syco, has slammed those musings.

"This story was totally made up. It's completely untrue, and no such conversation has ever happened," the spokesperson told PEOPLE.

Disgruntled fans have speculated that Zayn left One Direction because of Perrie and while we have no reason to believe this, Zayn allegedly (and understandably) planned to spend more time with his love by traveling with her and the group while they tour. The two even went on a mini-getaway together where the Little Mix star posted a selfie of the happy couple.

Reports alleged that management was afraid Zayn would pull Perrie's focus from the tour, according to the Daily Mail.

"The law has been laid down to Zayn -- you cannot follow Perrie around like a puppy dog," a source for the story reportedly told the Daily Mirror, who first published the rumor. The story appears to have since been taken down.
