Zayn Malik and Calum Hood have both rocked a bold, blonde streak in their dark hair. Whose highlights are better?

While Zayn Malik doesn't rock the platinum locks anymore (R.I.P. blonde streak), we'll always have a soft spot for the period of time he did choose to don the vibrant highlights. We loved the shocking contrast between the golden strip and the rest of his black hair, which totally added to his role as the "badass" of the group. Bring it back, Zayn!

Maybe Calum Hood has picked up some hair tips from Zayn while on the road with One Direction, because the 5SOS singer's new golden highlights are totally reminiscent of the 1D boy bander's. Unlike Zayn's blonde streak, however, Calum chose to rock his lighter locks pieced throughout the front of his hair, which gives it a more natural and gradual look. While Calum's dye job isn't as bold as his bandmate Michael's, it definitely still gives him an awesome punk edge.
