2011 Summer Concert Preview: 10 Shows You Won’t Want to Miss

Sure, Taylor Swift is classified as country, but this little starlet transcends into the pop world like no other. You can't turn on your local Top 40 station without hearing the latest from the story-telling genius, and this summer, you can join her fairytale live in concert. Taylor Swift's 'Speak Now' Tour is now open, with shows across the United States and Canada from now until November.

The American Idols LIVE! Tour makes our 2011 Summer Concerts list without question, because it's a one-of-a-kind opportunity to see Lauren Alaina, Haley Reinhart, Paul McDonald, James Durbin, Scotty McCreery and the rest of the 'American Idol' Season 10 Top 11 live and in person. The tour kicks off July 6 in Utah and runs through mid-September, giving you 'Idol' lovers plenty of chances to catch the show. Tickets are on sale now!

Selena Gomez and the Scene are on the road all summer long, rocking the stage and prepping fans for the release of their third album, 'When the Sun Goes Down.' Allstar Weekend kicks off the concerts as the opening act, and if we're lucky, maybe the Biebs will make a guest appearance somewhere along the way. Oh, and let's not forget that Ms. Gomez promised us some Britney covers! This one is bound to be a good one, but better hurry, because it's on now.

After he wraps up 'The Voice,' Adam Levine and Maroon 5 will team up with 'Hey, Soul Sister' hitmakers Train for a co-headlining run, which kicks off in July. Kesha joins our 2011 summer concerts list with her down-and-dirty 'Get Sleazy' Tour, which has actually been on the run since the cold days of February. The sun is out now, and while the 'Tik Tok' hitmaker is putting her stamp on Europe as we type, she'll return to the States for another North American run starting July 24 in Tulsa, Okla.

Nothing beats the heat like 'Rolling Papers,' are we right? We're referring to Wiz Khalifa's summer tour, of course. Named after his latest album, the 'Black and Yellow' superstar will take his 'Rolling Papers' hits on the road starting June 12. In the past year alone, Khalifa's name has set the rap industry on fire. So, puff, puff, absolutely -- but you don't want to pass on this one.

Everybody needs a lil Weezy in the summertime. Even though he pushed back his 'Tha Carter IV' album to August, Wayne is keeping his touring schedule on the books. While the first leg of the 'I Am Music II' Tour wrapped up in May, the 'How to Love' rapper is keeping the fun going. Catch Lil Wayne with Keri Hilson, Rick Ross, Lloyd and the Far East Movement on the road July 13-Sept. 11.

If you're dreaming of a land filled with blue wigs, alien lovers and unmatched pop tunes, then boy do we have the tour for you! Katy Perry's 'California Dreams' Tour unleashes its madness June 7, with US and Canadian dates intermixed through August 14. Swedish pop star Robyn will pump up the audiences as the tour opener, as well as British popster Jessie J.

When Britney and Nicki join hands, it's a fatal female attraction. See what we did there? Anyway, the 'Femme Fatale' Tour is a 2011 summer concert you definitely won't want to miss. Catch two of music's hottest on this world tour, which runs June 16-Aug. 14 in the US and Canada, before heading to Europe, where the girls will wrap things up in November.

Rihanna's 'Loud' Tour is now in full force. The show kicked off this past Saturday in Baltimore, Md., and if the first display is telling of what's to come, this will be a hot one. 'Loud' doesn't just describe the music -- there is lots of neon, bright costumes, and RiRi in a summer-ready day-glo bikini! It's definitely not too late to catch the seductive 'S&M' singer on stage with special guests Cee Lo and J.Cole. RiRi's North American run extends all the way through the end of July, with shows on the horizon everywhere from Canada, to Texas, to California and Boston. Grab your brightest gear and get 'Loud!'
