The 2015 American Music Awards Nominations Are In

Relative industry unknown Taylor Swift leads the pack in nominations for this year's American Music Awards.

The country-pop-turned-regular-pop singer-songwriter, who apparently released an album called 1989 last year (first we're hearing about it!) and whose current boyfriend Calvin Harris is nominated for Favorite EDM artist and is definitely ready to sue everyone right now (and it won't be a 'happy ending', y'all!!!), is up for six potential wins at the ceremony, which will be hosted live from LA on November 22 by future Vegas showgirl, Jennifer Lopez. And if she doesn't win all of them, don't feel too bad — she already has a casual 16 AMAs sitting on her shelf for Meredith & Olivia, her cats, to play with.

Moody chart-topper The Weeknd and x singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran — both proud member of the #SwiftSquad — follows closely thereafter with five nominations, including Artist Of The Year alongside acts like Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande and Meghan Trainor.
