The final preparations are being made for Sunday night's 75th annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

The event honoring excellence in film and television for 2017 is to take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Hosted by The Late Show star Seth Meyers, it is scheduled to air from 8-11 p.m. ET [5-8 p.m. PT] on NBC.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association — which bestows the Globes — also reached a deal to allow NBC to live-stream the awards show through its own website and the NBC mobile app, available on a variety of platforms, including DirecTV Now, Fubo TV, Hulu Live TV, Sling TV, Sony PlayStation Vue and YouTube TV.

Actress, producer and media mogul Oprah Winfrey is to receive the career achievement honor known as a the Cecille B. DeMille Award.

Celebrities confirmed as performers include Jessica Chastain, Garrett Hedlund, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, Ron Howard, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Allison Janney, Sebastian Stan, Sarah Paulson, Natalie Portman, Common, Zac Efron, Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Robert Pattinson, Kate Hudson, Kerry Washington, Gal Gadot, Amy Poehler, Halle Berry, Seth Rogen, Viola Davis, Reese Witherspoon and Kelly Clarkson.

Thelma & Louise icons Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis will also reunite and take the stage together as presenters, and Simone Johnson, the daughter of film star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, is to serve as Golden Globe Ambassador for the gala.
