After winning the eleventh series of the UK edition of The X Factor, Ben Haenow signed with Syco Records in January 2015 and released his self-titled debut album with the label in November 2015. A mere two months after the release of the album, however, Haenow has officially announced his departure from Simon Cowell's label.

In the personal announcement he released via TwitLonger yesterday (January 28), he characterizes the parting as an amicable one, emphasizing how he had "the most incredible experience working on my debut album" under Syco.

"I have the [utmost] respect for them both [The X Factor and Syco]," he continues, "and cannot thank them enough for all the help and everything they have done for me this past year."

Although Haenow revels in the fact that he "had the privilege of working with some incredible people, making some great friends and making a great record which I am still extremely proud of," he explains that he and Syco "both felt it was the right time to move on."

Haenow's announcement ends with a long yet optimistic look toward the future, as well as a genuine thank-you to his fans. "I am very excited about this next chapter. I'm already writing and in talks about about the next album," he reveals.

He continues: "Most importantly I would like to say the biggest thank you to ALL OF YOU! You have all made my dreams come true and I owe YOU everything. None of this would have been possible without you guys! The ongoing loyalty, love and support you have shown me this past year and beyond has made me the proudest and luckiest person alive."

Be sure to catch Haenow on his UK tour this spring, although some dates are apparently going to change, according to yesterday's announcement.
