The 2015 PopCrush Fan Choice Awards are well under way, meaning now's your chance to have your voice seriously heard. This category is one of our all-time faves: Best New Artist.  Considering the insane amount of accessibility that exists nowadays between artists and their fans (thanks to the ever-expanding world of social media), it's easier than ever to be recognized by many -- if only for a fleeting fifteen minutes.

But the new artists on this list have more staying power than the rest. They totally impressed us in 2014, despite being newcomers to the major pop game -- and to make us take notice when there was so much awesome going on as it was... well, that takes something special.

While 5 Seconds of Summer aren't necessarily brand-now -- they first started garnering world-wide appeal after opening for One Direction in 2013 -- they forced the mainstream to take notice of them in 2014. The same goes for Charlil XCX, who was featured on so many hit tracks that we wonder if she could retire off the money she made from Iggy Azalea's 'Fancy' and be set for life. But it was the release of her sophomore album, 'Sucker,' that made us take a step back and say "Whoa." Talk about spunk.

Meghan Trainor came seemingly out of nowhere with her massive pop hit 'All About That Bass' -- and we're pretty sure there's some kind of record that she's beaten for the most parodied song of all time.

If you listened to the radio at all this past summer, chances are pretty good that if you weren't listening to 'All About That Bass,' you were definitely listening to 'Me and My Broken Heart' by Rixton. We know we were.

Speaking of boy bands who play instruments -- so, bands that happen to be made up of boys -- the Vamps totally blew us away with their crazy catchy, insanely infectious pop music. Speaking of super talented and cute, Shawn Mendes also burst onto the scene in 2014.

Sam Smith took things down a notch, mood-wise, delivering the sad-sackiest album we've heard since Joni Mitchell's 'Blue' album. We mean that in a good way, of course. Anyone that can make us feel feelings the way Sam Smith can deserves a Grammy and a PopCrush award.

Vote for your choice for Best New Artist in the poll below! The voting ends at 10AM ET on Feb. 17, but until then, you can vote once per hour -- so show plenty of support for your favorite new artist!
