A whole lot can happen in just a few short years, as Cady Groves could probably tell you.

The last time we heard the sweet-voiced, sharp-tongued "IDGAF" singer-songwriter, she was crooning her impossibly catchy 2013 single, "Forget You." And then, life happened. And after formally parting ways with her record label and taking time away due to personal tragedy, the singer's just now returned in 2015 with a poignant new acoustic guitar-led pop tune: "Crying Game."

The cathartic track, which covers everything from her father's imprisonment to the untimely death of two of her brothers, is an incredibly vulnerable autobiographical offering from the singer. And, despite the incredibly heavy subject matter, Cady's natural knack for crafting memorable melodies remains present throughout the song.

Today, we're premiering the official lyric video for "Crying Game," in which the singer sings her sorrowful tune directly at the camera at an ice skating rink. The song is due to be released on an upcoming EP later this year.

Along with "Crying Game," Cady recently released a super sweet duet with Christian Burghardt called "Whiskey & Wine." And with any luck, this is only just the beginning of new music to come from this talented little girl.
