The stars at the MTV Video Music Awards weren't the only ones having fun on Sunday night. Taylor Swift brought out a surprise guest, comedian Ellen DeGeneres, during the singer's fourth and final show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

"I was looking for the ladies room. I am so sorry," DeGeneres joked after walking onstage. "This has been happening quite a bit," Swift replied, referencing the stream of guests she's been bringing out at her L.A. shows, which included singer Jason Mraz earlier in the week. "People are just going about their daily lives and they end up on our stage. It happened a lot this week."

Taylor asked Ellen if she wanted to play an instrument, and Ellen, who is not exactly a musician, eagerly grabbed the maracas, which she later traded in for a triangle. As Swift began playing 'Our Song,' DeGeneres sat on the stage with a host of backup singers and musicians.

After the performance, Ellen tweeted the news to her followers: "Just got off the stage with @TaylorSwift13 at Staples Center. Our song is now 'Our Song.'"
