The singer, who just dropped her newest album, Norman F--king Rockwell!, covered Grande's hit Thank U, Next song on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge on Monday (September 9). However, instead of adding her signature melancholic and breathy style to the track, she simply brought "a little bit of earthiness into it."

"I thought about sending her a screenshot of a list of preferred covers I was sent, which had about seven of her songs on it, so she wouldn't just think I was a mega-fan," Del Rey confessed, according to FADER.

It's safe to say Grande totally approves of the new take on her song because she quickly tweeted out a message of support. "oh my god @lanadelrey I love u so very very much," the pop star wrote.

The pair, along with Miley Cyrus, recently worked together on the theme song for the upcoming Elizabeth Banks-directed Charlie’s Angels reboot starring Kristen Stewart, Aladdin's Naomi Scott and newcomer Ella Balinksi. The highly-anticipated collab, titled "Don’t Call Me Angel," will be released this Friday, September 13.
