Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato will perform at Time Warner Cable's pre-MTV Video Music Awards concert on August 28.

According to Business Wire, MTV and Time Warner are staging the show in conjunction with Lifebeat — Music Fights HIV/AIDS, a nonprofit organization whose aim is mainly to educate young people in America about HIV/AIDS prevention. The concert will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Time Warner Cable customers located in the Southern California area looking to gain entry to the event can pick up two tickets at the TWC store located in the Beverly Connection Mall in Los Angeles, on the morning of August 24 between 9AM and 11AM. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Will Nick or Demi deliver a performance that proves to be as memorable as Iggy Azalea's from last year? In case you don't remember, the Australian rapper plummeted off stage while performing her hit "Fancy." (She's fine, so it's okay to laugh.) You can see video of her fall below.

As for the actual Video Music Awards, Nick will perform his new single "Levels" live for the first time during the Sunday broadcast. The Weeknd is also slated to play his hit song "Can't Feel My Face" during the show, which Miley Cyrus is set to host -- a decision that was met with backlash from the ever-contrarian Parents Television Council, who must have confused the VMAs for its more chaste, distant cousin, the Teen Choice Awards.

The VMAs will air on MTV on Sunday August 30 at 9PM EST.
