Nicki Minaj and Pitbull Announce AMA Nominees

On Oct. 11, Nicki Minaj and Pitbull were in Los Angeles to announce the nominees for the 2011 American Music Awards, which are set to air on Nov. 20. The Harajuku Barbie and Mr. 305 took their rightful places at the podium in front of photographers and music industry professionals in order to announce the list of American Music Award nominees, many of which were female artists.

Adele actually leads the pack with four nods, while Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Rihanna aren't too far behind with three nominations each. Nicki Minaj also got two nods and Pitbull is up for one award -- do you think it was awkward for them to announce their own names? Talk about a blush-worthy moment.

In these pictures from the event, fans can see Minaj's latest hairdo, which consisted of long flowing locks of blond and bright blue. The 'Fly' rapper also wore a bikini-esque midriff top and matching skirt. Minaj also wore a green furry jacket upon arrival and her blue boots matched her hair perfectly. Pitbull kept is classy in a dark taupe suit and red tie.
