Taylor Swift’s ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ Gets a Slew of Viral Remixes

Anyone who thinks remix culture discourages true creativity needs to get a load of what's been happening with Taylor Swift's 'I Knew You Were Trouble' lately.

A growing group of YouTube users, with their words like knives and their swords and weapons that they use against Taylor, have cooked up a small army of 'Trouble' remixes that mash up the original version of the song with all sorts of unexpected ingredients, including Nicolas Cage in 'The Wicker Man,' the infamous clip of reporter Melissa Sander taking a tumble off a platform after trying to cheat during a grape-stomping competition, and (as we reported a couple of weeks ago) a goat.

To her credit, Swift has refrained from commenting on all this switching sides, wildfire lies and humiliation, but don't feel too bad for her -- 'I Knew You Were Trouble' peaked at Number Two on the Billboard Hot 100 and has sold more than three million downloads to date, and neither Nicolas Cage nor a goat can say that.
