The Rock’s Mom and Cousin Survive Accident Caused by Drunk Driver [PHOTOS]

Actor and wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson revealed that he almost lost his mother and cousin in a horrific car accident this week.

The 'Hercules' star posted a photo on Instagram of two completely wrecked cars after a head-on collision. It turns out that his mother, Ata Johnson, and his cousin, Lina Fanene, were victims of a car accident caused by a drunk driver.

Johnson writes in the photo caption:

My mom & cousin @linafanene were struck head on by a drunk driver this week - they lived. First reaction is to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them. But then you realize the most important thing is my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days. Hug your own family tighter today and be grateful you can tell them you love them. #BearHugsAndGratitude #100PercentPreventable #ChoicesMatter

Both Johnson's mother and cousin were hospitalized for their injuries. In an Instagram photo posted by Fanene, she shows Johnson visiting her in her hospital room, as well as goofing off and in good spirits at home. Fanene works for WWE's NXT program.

It is unknown what happened to the drunk driver who caused the accident.
