Congrats to 'TODAY' Show co-host Savannah Guthrie, who gave birth to her first child yesterday (Aug. 13).

This morning (Aug. 14) on the 'TODAY' show, Matt Lauer announced Savannah and her husband Mike Feldman welcomed a daughter, Vale Guthrie Feldman. Lauer added that Vale is an Old English word meaning "valley by a stream," and she was named for her calm, serene demeanor. Savannah first announced she was expecting during the show's March 17 broadcast.

The 'TODAY' show anchors noted that the new mom seemed over the moon with the birth of her daughter. Savannah even tweeted about her adjustment to maternity leave, saying, "My 3am wake up call sounds a lot different now. Sweeter..."

The co-host also expressed her excitement to making the official announcement on-air, adding she and her husband are "bursting with joy":

PopCrush is sending our best wishes to the new parents and their adorable daughter. You can watch Matt Lauer's announcement (and see the first pics of baby Vale!) in the video above.
